A photo series dedicated to today's ballroom scene across Europe, beginning with my very first vogue ball in Moscow. The project emerged during a challenging phase of my life when I had to return to my hometown. Feeling suppressed, I had to constantly hide important parts of my identity and seek solace in a space where everyone is celebrated, regardless of who they are.
Shot exclusively on film, its goal is to examine the timeless energy, beauty, and diversity of voguing dancers that trace its origins from New York in the 80s to the present day and spanning worldwide. The images were captured in several European cities, including Paris, The Hague, Berlin, Moscow, and Stockholm.
