The idea of ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ emerged after my involuntary move from Sweden, a country where I spent five defining years of my late 20s spent. Throughout this period, I documented the joys and challenges of my life, capturing moments with people I met and bonded with.
The piece delves into the Swedish way of living, where reality can be both rich in aesthetics and alienating and cold. Through my photography, I aim to reveal the unfiltered and underrepresented experiences of the youth that are not native to Stockholm.
